About the Brewery

Since 2001, Turk’s Head Brewery is the first and only local craft brewery in The Turks and Caicos Islands. With a mission to “make the Turks and Caicos Islands a destination for the best beers and beaches in the world,” it’s easy to see why their most popular beer is deemed “The quintessential refreshing beach beer.” Locals and visitors can find their craft brews at nearly all local restaurants, bars, and grocery stores in Providenciales.

The Process

The beer-making process starts with ultra-refined desalinated water made on-site at the TC Crystal Water plant, imported barley, and hops. The next step involves converting the natural starch in the malted grain to sugar by soaking it in warm water to release natural enzymes. The resulting sugar water is then boiled to concentrate the sugars and purify the “wort.” Hops are then added to the mixture, which is eventually rapidly chilled and put into fermenters with yeasts that turn the sugars into alcohol. The mixture is fermented and aged for as long as the brew-master sees fit. After fermentation, the beer is filtered, bottled, canned, or kegged.

Craft Beers & Lagers

Turk’s Head Brewery currently produces four unique varieties of beer and lager, I-AIN-GA-LIE LAGER, GON-TA-NORT AMBER ALE, DOWN-DA-ROAD IPA, and I-SOON-REACH LIGHT LAGER. The brewery also produces two different seasonal beers, GON-TA-SOUT STOUT and TA-RECT-LEY WHEAT. Plans are in the works for Turk’s Head Brewery to have even more unique craft brews soon.

Beer Tasting At Turk's Head Brewery

If you’re in search of a unique activity on your next vacation to the Turks and Caicos Islands and you love beer, taking a tour of the Turk’s Head Brewery is a must! Turk’s Head Brewery is a twelve-minute southwest drive down Leeward Highway from Villa del Mar. The brewery is located in the Discovery Bay region of Providenciales at the TC Crystal Water Building on 52 Universal Drive. During the guided tour, visitors will learn the basics of brewing beer and walk through the brewery’s modern facility with a bird’s eye view of the process. After the tour, guests will have an opportunity to sample up to four different beers made at the facility. The tour lasts an hour, costs $15.00 for adults ($5 for children), and includes the tasting.
