United Airlines Brings Latest Non-Stop Offering from Chicago to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos
The balmy weather and predictable sunshine on Providenciales, Turks and Caicos provides a much needed break from shoveling snow and bracing for additional cold fronts. And if last winter was any indication of the type of weather patterns the northeastern states can expect, then airline bookings will be up by a lot as more warmth-seekers head south for a much needed dose of Vitamin D.
Visitors to the Turks and Caicos Islands have been spoiled for choice in recent years with daily, non-stop flights from hubs such as Atlanta, New York, Charlotte, and Miami and regular service from Boston, Newark, Philadelphia and Dallas. United Airlines will soon be adding a direct, weekly flight from Chicago starting December 19, 2015. The Saturday only service will operate over the popular winter months through to April 30, 2016.
One of the world’s busiest airprts, Chicago O’Hare International processed 70 million passengers in 2014 according to the Airport Council International. According to the Department of Aviation statistics for the airport, 5.6 million passengers went through O’Hare in December 2014 alone (compared to 5.4 million a year earlier), almost 800,000 on internationl flights.
